Found here, this is a great resource for those people wanting to know the real ‘cool’ phrases in Castellano, not the dull stuff your teacher tells you (only joking, my teacher actually taught me lots of naughty words…)
This might be useful for visitors to Barcelona- just put in the street name and it will give you a clue from where it derives. For example,. a friend of mine lives on the Rambla del Raval, of which it says:
‘Raval, Rambla del: An urban area created on the basis of the Pla Central del Raval de Ciutat Vella. It includes the streets of Sant Jeroni and La Cadena, which are integrated into the new area.’
